Functional nutrition testing is a tool used by functional nutrition practitioners like me to investigate the root cause of your symptoms. Instead of using medications to mask your symptoms, we look deeper for imbalances in how your body is functioning so we can work to restore the normal function.
Functional tests may use blood, stool, saliva, or urine to identify body systems in need of support and then we use a combination of nutrition, targeted supplements, and lifestyle changes to correct the imbalances.
It can also help us discover why you feel…
Whether your symptoms are related to digestion, hormone imbalance, weight concerns, adrenal fatigue, or you are curious about your vitamin and mineral levels, Functional nutrition testing can help us identify the imbalances and restore optimal function.
We provides multiple functional tests.
Depending on the result of this tests we can develop personalized care programs for your specifics needs.
There are many tests that are available today. However, it is important to end by saying that testing is not always appropriate, nor is it always necessary, at least not straight away. Functional tests can be very costly, and I always ask myself whether the potential benefit the client would gain from it would justify the cost. Sometimes clients have already been through a whole battery of medical tests before they come to see me, and the last thing they want is any more testing. Other clients love to monitor their health however they can and love to test! I also ask myself whether test results would change my recommendations to a client; it is often possible to work on a hypothesis using simple diet and lifestyle changes without the need for expensive testing. Each case is unique and has to be considered on its own merits. So functional testing can be enlightening and very informative, but they are only one out of many other tools that a nutritional therapy health detective has up his or her sleeve!
I’m here to help you decide if testing would be helpful for you and, if so, what kind of testing to do!
Pricing varies depending upon test selection.
