Willingness to change is one of the key ingredients.
There is a nugget of truth embedded in that idea, the idea that before someone will change, they must want to change. One might ask, how many treatment programs does it take to change a person? If that person really wants to change, it only takes one.
Moral of the story: If you want to change, first you need to be open to change. My view is that this message is extremely correct, but since my expertise is not on psychology, I couldn’t insist on this matter.
